Fort Christmas Historical Park is located 20 miles east of Orlando, just off of St. Rd. 50 . This is a wonderful place to stop on your way to Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach or Port Canaveral. The park consists of the full-size replica of Fort Christmas and seven restored historical homes that preserve the 'Cracker' architecture of East Orange County. The houses show pioneer life from the 1870's through to the 1930's.
The parks hours are 8am - 8pm during the summer and 8am - 6pm in winter. It is closed on Monday and Holidays. The fort is self-guided and open from 10am - 5pm. The houses are open for viewing from 10am - Noon and 1pm - 3:30pm Tuesday - Saturday and 1pm - 3:30pm on Sundays.
